CHRYSOPRASE
Renowned since Antiquity, Chrysoprase is a variety of chalcedony whose luminous apple-green color made it an ornament to the most precious jewels. Prized by the Greeks, Romans and Renaissance rulers, it symbolized prosperity, renewal and hope. Its name comes from the Greek chrysos (gold) and prason (leek), in reference to its bright, verdant hue. Much appreciated by Frederick II of Prussia, who had it incorporated into the ornaments of his palaces, Chrysoprase continues to seduce with its fresh, regenerating energy.
