A little history

In ancient Egypt, Carnelian was called "the blood of Isis" and associated with protection and regeneration. Craftsmen used it to make the famous heart amulets, placed in tombs to guide and protect the souls of the deceased in the afterlife. Later, in the Middle Ages, Carnelian was worn to ward off illness and enhance eloquence, notably by orators and lawyers.
