GREEN GRENAT

Rarer than its red cousins, Green Garnet, particularly in its noblest form, Tsavorite, seduces with its intense brilliance and vivid color that evokes deep jungles and ancient gemstones. Identified in the XXᵉ century in Kenya, this garnet nevertheless comes from an ancestral mineral group. A little history

Green garnet gained notoriety in the 1970s thanks to gemologist Campbell Bridges, who discovered Tsavorite in Kenya. Enthralled by the stone's purity and exceptional color, he collaborated with Tiffany & Co. who helped make the garnet known worldwide. Although "modern", Green Garnet is linked to a long tradition of garnet use in royal jewelry and sacred objects, particularly in Asia, where green stones were associated with prosperity and protection.
