IDENTITY CARD

HOPE'S EYE

Less well known than its cousin Tiger's Eye, Falcon's Eye is a stone with deep blue reflections, crossed by silky, moving iridescence. It evokes the hawk's speed, piercing vision and ability to hover over events from a distance. Used in ancient times as a protective amulet, it is sought after today for its dark, fluid beauty and its ability to promote mental clarity and subtle perception.

The bluish color of Falcon's Eye is due to the gradual transformation of crocidolite fibers (an iron-rich amphibole), partially replaced by quartz while retaining their fibrous structure. This phenomenon creates the shimmering effect known as chatoiement.

A little history

In ancient Egypt, certain bluish fibrous stones were associated with sky vision and clairvoyance. Falcon's Eye was worn by travellers and merchants as a talisman to avoid illusions and keep the mind sharp. Later, in the Middle Ages, it was used in certain Hermetic traditions as a stone of divination and mental protection, particularly by those who observed natural signs (birds, clouds, stars...).

Inner flexibility
