AMETHYST
Amethyst has been shrouded in mystery and fascination for millennia. Prized by the Egyptians, carved into talismans in Greek antiquity, and adorning medieval crowns, it is one of the earliest gems known to mankind. Its violet color, rare in nature, was a symbol of power, spirituality and protection. Its name comes from the Greek amethystosmeaning "not drunk", in reference to the ancient belief that it protected against drunkenness. Even today, Amethyst continues to seduce with its pure beauty and soothing energy.

A little history
In ancient Greece, amethyst was closely associated with Dionysus, god of wine and celebration. According to legend, Dionysus was angry and wanted revenge on humans. He decided to unleash his tigers on the first person he came across: a young woman named Amethyst. To protect her, the goddess Artemis turned her into pure crystal. Remorseful, Dionysus poured wine over the stone, giving it its violet hue. This story gave rise to the tradition of wearing Amethyst to protect oneself from drunkenness, but also to keep the mind clear and protected.
