MULTICOLOR MOTHER-OF-PEARL
Multicolored Mother-of-Pearl seduces with its shimmering reflections that evoke the play of light on the surface of water. Derived from the inner shells of pearl mollusks, it is then tinted to reveal a palette of dazzling colors: pink, blue, green, gold... Although its hues are not natural, the material itself remains noble and organic. It retains the symbolic and sensory qualities of mother-of-pearl: softness, intuition, harmony. Today, it is widely used in jewelry and decorative crafts.

GEOGRAPHICAL ORIGIN

A little history
Mother-of-pearl, even untinted, has been used since Antiquity in objects of art and power. The use of dye on mother-of-pearl is a more contemporary practice, particularly popularized in Asia and in Western costume jewelry from the 20th century onwards. It allows the material to be enhanced by the addition of brighter hues, while retaining its original iridescent appearance. Today, it remains a prized material for handcrafted creations, for its lively, accessible brilliance.
