A little history

Rutile Quartz, although known since antiquity, was only fully identified scientifically in the XIXᵉ century. In India and Tibet, it was considered a "stone of divine truth", capable of channeling light to the heart and mind. In some South American shamanic traditions, it was used to "pierce the veil" between the visible and invisible worlds. In the West, it is sometimes nicknamed "Venus hair or "Cupid's arrowsbecause of its fine golden inclusions.
