PERIDOT

Peridot, with its luminous green and golden hues, is a stone of fire born from the depths of the Earth. Used since ancient times as a stone of protection and purification, it is often associated with mental clarity, the energy of renewal and warmth of the heart. Its fresh, invigorating color makes it a prized gem in both jewelry and lithotherapy, where it symbolizes opening up to the light after periods of darkness.

A little history

The first exploited deposits of peridot were found on the Red Sea island of Zabargad, already mentioned in Greek and Egyptian texts. The ancient Egyptians called it the "Stone of the Sun" and used it as a protective talisman against nightmares and dark forces. Some historians believe that the emeralds worn by Cleopatra were actually... peridots. In the Middle Ages, it was inlaid into sacred objects to symbolize divine light.
